Frequently Asked Questions

Pottery

Are your pieces dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes! Our commitment is to crafting durable ceramics designed for everyday use.

Are your glazes safe?

Yes! Our glazes are a mix of commercial and homemade recipes and are guaranteed to contain only food safe and lead free ingredients. Also, when fired, the glaze turns to glass so nothing can penetrate in or out of the surface.

Who makes this stuff?

All of our pieces are handmade by Julie from start to finish. Ethan will pop in and make some pinch pots or help glazing along the way. ☺

What type of clay do you use?

We use a few different clays. We love a speckled stoneware clay but also dabble in red and darker clay bodies. We find stoneware to be the most durable for a variety of uses.

Shipping & Payments

What if my item got broken in shipping?

Although we pack our pieces carefully, we cannot control what happens to our pieces once they leave our hands. If by chance your piece arrives broken, please email us at julopotteryco@gmail.com and we will try to get a refund with our shipping insurance carriers for you.

How long are your shipping and processing times?

Processing is around 1-3 days and shipping varies by carrier although our preferred mailer is USPS Priority which takes around 1-3 days depending on location. Julie hand mails everything herself, so please be patient! Thanks ☺

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! If you're local to the Plymouth, MA area we are happy to arrange a time for you to visit our studio to pick up your order to save on shipping. Once you place a local pickup order, we will reach out to determine a time that works best.

Can I return my order?

Sorry, we cannot accept returns on our pieces.
